The school Ryūkyū Shōrin ryū Karatedō Gesshinkai is founded by master Okada Toshiro “岡田俊郎” Sei-Hanshi for difending the original style of the Okinawa’s karate. Master Okada is 10° dan red belt, the attributed higher qualification from the Federation Okinawa’s karate (Zen Okinawa Karatedō Renmei). He was born in 1936, it began to assiduously practice the karate one already from child, attracted from a fascinating discipline in which it was not only learned to respect the rules but to reach spiritual force from the inside of own body, pulling down the adversary to nude hands with the speed of the movements. Afterwards, he learned the original style of Okinawa at the school Kyan del defunto maestro Kyan Chōtoku (1870-1945) diventando discepolo di Shimabukuro Zenryō, first president of the Federation Okinawa’s karate, and continued the study of Shōrin ryū with his son Shimabukuro Zenpō.
He studied and practiced the stiles of karate Kenyū ryū, Shitō ryū, Gōjū ryū, Uechi ryū, Matsubayashi ryū, dedicating itself to integrate in a new synthesis all these draft of karate.
Between 1960 and 1963 he visited 50 dōjo of Okinawa studying karate, kobudō (saijutsu) etc. In particular, he received personal lessons from the main instructor of kobushi Shimabukuro Tarō. In 1996 the master Nakazato Jōen, instructor head of the Kyūdōkan and direct disciple of the founder of the Shōrinji ryū Kyan Chōtoku to Okinawa, transmitted to him the original versions of the Seven Kata (Anankū, Wanshū, Chintō, Seisan, Gojūshiho, Passai, Kūshankū) and Tokumine no Kon.
In the same period, it received several instructions from master Nagamine Shōshin, dean of the karate one of Okinawa, head instructor of the Kōdōkan and kata creator in 1947 of the fukyu (didactic kata) of the style Matsubayashi ryū.
By master Nakajima Senkichi (instructor of martial limbs of the police of Osaka) learned, for line directed from its creator Musō Gonnosuke, the style of jōjutsu (combat with the sticks) Shintō Musō ryū, the style Eishin ryū di iaidō, jittejutsu, tessenjutsu, kusarigama and other type of combatt with the arms. He learned all these historical martial forms, Japanese kenpō, kendō, aikidō, hakkōryū jūjitsu, sekiguchi shin-shinryū jūjitsu, Ryūkyū kobudō, saijutsu, nunchaku, tonfa, bō etc.

The school Ryūkyū Shōrin ryū Karatedō Gesshinkai reassumes therefore all the traditional best of karate of Okinawa, going back online directed to its authentic and original current.
